South Caicos fire survivors get help

Providenciales, 13 Jul 2015 – The Red Cross and the Department of Disaster Management and Emergencies have teamed up to get urgent supplies to Richard ‘Dickie’ Stubbs and his family; the Stubbs family lost everything in a fire in South Caicos which devoured their home and business last week.

While police continue the investigation, the agencies charged with reaching out in times of disaster are doing just that. Lormeka Williams, Director of the TCI Red Cross confirmed the coordination which will see goods including bedding, clothing and hygiene items delivered to South. “Donations can be dropped off at the Red Cross Office between the hours of 10am to 2pm Monday to Friday at the Lucille Lightbourne Building, Suite 2 or call 331-8056.”

Police had asked for information in this case, where it is believed a fire was started in the restroom of the bar in Trench town, South Caicos.
