Providenciales, 28 Jul 2015 – Those 28 poachers go to court today to face eight charges after being caught fishing in TCI Waters last Thursday.

In addition to a haul which included “… 1,462lbs of lobster, within that, 69 egg-bearing lobster and 485lbs of parrot fish” the men will be charged with using breathing apparatus and for operating a staggering 14 unlicensed vessels in their illegal fishing expedition.

The Dominicans were apprehended, according to the report at Whale Breakers which is approximately seven miles south of Bush Cay.

DEMA Director, Dr. John Claydon said that the charges attached to fishing lobster outside of the season alone are hefty.
