Budget spending to be bigger after Cabinet decision

Providenciales, 06 Jul 2015 – Cabinet approved a budget supplementary and this means the House of Assembly will be asked for more money to get more done this budget year; it will increase the current budget of $224.7 million dollars. In the minutes from Cabinet, it is said the approval of a supplementary appropriation bill wants to offer more financial resources to the upgrade the 911 communications systems, to fund the setting up of the Financial Intelligence Agency, to provide additional protective equipment for the TCI Police and to finance other critical items across Government. Cabinet informed that the supplementary appropriation bill will be submitted to the UK Secretary of State for approval before being forwarded to the House of Assembly.
