Providenciales, 26 Jun 2015 – I know my status… do you know yours?! Today, if you don’t, you can change that when you take advantage of a free, fast, confidential test for HIV Aids at any of the three Scotiabank locations nationwide from 9am to 4pm. Today is Regional HIV Testing Day, 20 countries are encouraging residents to ‘Know Your Status’ … the good news for the territory is that tests returning positive results is on the decrease for the TCI; the not so good news is not enough people are being tested.

Hezron Henry, Rapport Counselor: “It has actually dropped within the teens, because previously it was in the 20s. So in terms of more positive cases, it has decreased.”

Turks and Caicos can also tout that no babies have been born with HIV/Aids in years. Again testing is on at both Scotiabank locations in Provo and the bank in Grand Turk.
