TCI returns to Carifta Swimming after 13 year absence

Providenciales, 07 April 2015 – No medal yet for the TCI Carifta Swim athlete, Laura Shaw, but the 15-year old has improved on her time, every time. According to Sports Director, Judith Robinson, all five events for Laura saw personal bests from the lone TCI competitor who raced in the 50m backstroke, where she improved by 38 seconds; 200m freestyle where she shaved 6:19 seconds from her time; 100m backstroke, was 51 seconds faster; 200m medley there was disqualification for young Shaw and in the 100m freestyle, 1:67 was dropped from her best time. Both Robinson and Sports Minister Akierra Missick are participating in the medal presentations at the Aquatic Center in Barbados. Laura Shaw up to this morning had two more events, 50m freestyle and the 200m backstroke.
