TCI Hospitals get the nod for quality health care from Canada

Providenciales, 30 Apr 2015 – The TCI Hospitals is one of two hospital facilities in the Caribbean with approval from Accreditation Canada now; media learned of the success yesterday. Accreditation Canada, on its website explains it is a member of the International Society for Quality in Health Care and the organization was in country March 23-27 for an evaluation of both facilities.

Outgoing, CEO, Jill Magri said: “This was the first triennial re-survey following the initial accreditation in 2012 and involved an assessment of the hospital’s performance against some 2,189 quality and performance standards, many of which had been enhanced and 361 of which had been newly introduced since 2012 by Accreditation Canada International as part of its policy of developing continuous improvements in the delivery of healthcare”. The accreditation for Cheshire Hall and Cockburn Town Medical Centers has been renewed to April 2018.
