Providenciales, 22 Apr 2015 – Earth Day today but celebrations in the Turks and Caicos began since Saturday with an underwater clean up spearheaded by Beaches Resort and its Sandals Foundation. Today, the Department of Environment & Maritime Affairs (DEMA) in collaboration with the National Trust, Department of Youth Affairs and the FilCom Inc will have a tree planting with the students of Enid Capron Primary, at Five Cays Community Centre. That happens this morning at 9:30am. It’s the 45th year the planet celebrates Earth Day, with the theme: “It’s our turn to lead.”
