FortisTCI with new power station in Salt Cay

Providenciales, 12 Mar 2015 – FortisTCI today unveiled a significant upgrade to its facilities; this time in Salt Cay. The company says the new multi-purpose power station improves safety standards, now with self-contained fuel tanks, oil tanks and fuel lines which reduces likelihood of leaks or spills. Cutting ribbon today at the plant were FortisTCI CEO, Eddinton Powell and on behalf of the Minister (Hon Amanda Missck), Malik Cummings, the country’s Energy Commissioner. The power station’s construction started about eight months ago, and enhances services to the 132 customers and represents an investment of $1.2 million dollars. Residents and winter residents of Salt Cay turned out strong for the brief ceremony and were treated to a tour of the station and eats afterwards.
