Providenciales, 20 Mar 2015 – Island Fish Fry likely saw its most diverse cultural display last night with many dignitaries and high profile figures in the crowd supporting; including the Premier and Opposition Leader. A near 20 person delegation from the Bahamas showed up to promote the upcoming Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival; we had a chat with Nikia Deveaux of the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism who said reaction on their international promotional circuit has been excellent. “Well people are very excited, you know Junkanoo is very popular and now to find there is another time of year people can come and experience that, people are very excited.”

Sharelle Carroll of the Bahamas National Festival Commission was thrilled to be in the Turks and Caicos, adding that the two countries are like family and it just makes sense to bring the invite.

“We want you to tell your friends, you know, make it a family event where you can come to The Bahamas and just experience a beautiful taste of what we have to offer. And then when you’re having your events we will come on back to Turks and Caicos ; it’s a beautiful place to be, we’re just excited to be here, the hospitality is amazing.”

D-Mac put on a good show, leaving the crowd demanding more… there were ticket giveaways for the Junkanoo Carnival with on stage contests led by the Mighty Pencil, Terrible T and the TCIs own, Micky. There were also ticket giveaways for this guy.

“Well you know, I always feel the love when I come to Turks and Caicos you know.”

Beenie Man showed up but very late at the Island Fish Fry, hunting down some island food and giving us a one on one where he promised to deliver a fantastic show tonight.

“I just want all the fans and well-wishers to turn out and just know Beenie Man is here for them… in music you have to stay relevant, cause if you’re not relevant – you is, irrelevant.”

Small World learning center is the venue, tickets are available at NCS MoneyGram, Delicious Dishes and the Dolphin Restaurant. Go to Magnetic Media Fanpage on Facebook or Dee242649 on Instagram for the photo highlights of both groups.
