PROVIDENCIALES, TURKS & CAICOS ISLANDS – The 9th Annual Windvibes Watersports Tournament will be held Sunday 5th July 2015 on Long Bay Beach, Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands.

The weekend of July 4th and 5th will once again be a watersports weekend in the Turks & Caicos with the 6th annual Race for the Conch Eco Sea Swim being run on Saturday the 4th July at Ricky’s Flamingo Cafe on Grace Bay Beach.

Windvibes is the Turks & Caicos Island’s largest watersports event and the only one featuring kiteboarding. The event hosts four watersports: kiteboarding, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, and swimming. All events are done on an amateur level and purely for personal enjoyment.

These four watersports are combined to create the Windvibes Charity Challenge which is a relay race for teams of four (with all proceeds going to a local charity).

Former Olympian and windsurfing legend Brian ‘de Action Man’ Talma will fly to the Turks & Caicos to host this year’s Windvibes event. Talma has been a competitive windsurfer for over 25 years and is an icon in the windsurfing industry.

Windvibes is a family friendly beach day at Long Bay with music by DJ Dayoh, freshly grilled food, and beach activities all day. Between races and events, beach goers are welcome to take out Big Blue Unlimited’s fleet of kayaks and sup boards they provide for the event and enjoy a day on the water.
