Providenciales, 28 Jan 2015 – The tone of the welcome home shindig for Shanice Williams markedly different from that House of Assembly opening; the Premier, Junior Tourism Minister and other leaders were all smiles during the reception held at Gilley’s Café at the Provo International Airport. Balloons, posters, Turks and Caicos flags, a strong flock of fans and even t-shirts supporting the Miss Universe Turks and Caicos created a festive environment for Williams, who with her family and tourism representatives returned from the pageant which was held on Sunday in Florida.
Miss Universe Turks and Caicos, Shanice Williams: “I really enjoyed it, honestly, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I used it to my advantage. It was difficult at some point, but I kept going but really and truly all of the comments and messages and everything that everyone was doing, it really kept me motivated. I just want to encourage everybody to continue to show that support to other queens like Miss Ferette (miss Teen TCI), and the future Miss Turks and Caicos because it really helps them to be encouraged; because it is not easy being out there, trust me.”
