Providenciales, 05 Jan 2015 – Islanders got a preview of what Tourism will be like for 2015 when Tourist Board Director, Ralph Higgs addressed attendees at the re-opening of the Providenciales International Airport. “We are projected to exceed or approach half a million stop over visitors by 2017; that is absolutely incredible and I want to tell you that this facility will help us in fulfilling our brand promise, ‘Beautiful by Nature’.” Higgs called the growth in tourism for these islands unprecedented and hinted at airlines interest in adding the country to their destinations.

“John you know the numbers, you know the expressions of interest for airlines travelling from as far away as South America is tremendous. I would be very, very surprised if we do not see transatlantic and transcontinental flights touching down here in the very near future.”
