clarified today by the Deputy Governor’s office and the TCIG Press Office; next week Thursday February 5 which is the day of Dr Rosita Butterfield’s State funeral is only a holiday for the public sector. Magnetic Media had previously reported otherwise, but that was incorrect and we do apologize for the error. Dr. Rosita, the country’s first woman parliamentarian and former House Speaker, who died earlier this month due to complications from a string of heart attacks, will lie in state at the House of Assembly next Tuesday. Again, only the public sector gets that day off from work.
