Providenciales, 12 Jan 2015 – The $16 million dollar private airport which brings a new dimension of visitor service to Five Cays opens later today; Blue Heron Aviation has been operating since November but will make their presence in Providenciales official.
When Magnetic Media visited, the tour of the site revealed an A Class FBO or fixed-base operator with modern amenities including several lounge areas, top of the line security features, rest space for pilots and tarmac services including covered dismounts for rainy day dis-embarkations. There are expected to be 15-20 people employed at Blue Heron. It was in March 2014 that Signature Flight Support, a BBA Aviation company, signed an agreement with Blue Heron Aviation Ltd of the Turks and Caicos Islands to license the FBO.
