Providenciales, 26 Jan 2015 – The Miss Universe pageant turned out to be a dud for many islanders who were looking to see chocolate toned, long-legged, Grand Turk beauty Shanice Williams do so much better in the 63rd staging of the pageant. By the final 15 though, Miss Turks and Caicos and all other Caribbean queen’s, except Jamaica’s Kaci Fennell were out of the running. Latin American beauties dominated the field at that point. Down to ten, Miss Jamaica remained and then on the question, a flub! It may have cost Miss Jamaica the crown… but no one knows for sure. What we do know is Miss Colombia; Paulina Vega is the new Miss Universe. Miss Jamaica, was not only a pageant favorite but an audience favorite; when she was called fifth in the final five… loud boos came from the crowed that packed the Florida International University auditorium. Miss Universe was this year staged in Doral, Florida.
