Providenciales, 13 Jan 2015 – Delay for the eight Jamaican based companies which were due to be in Providenciales today talking up the possibility of building a stronger trade relationship with the Turks and Caicos. There were due to be one on one meetings as the companies with products like: sports-wear, iodized salt, poultry, spices & sauces and fresh produce were due to spend two days here.

The trip is postponed to next Monday and is a joint effort of the Turks and Caicos Chamber of Commerce, the Jamaica Consulate, the Jamaica Exporters’ Association and the Jamaica Manufacturers Association. This move could accelerate motion on the past due manufacturing policy of the country, which was touted to go to public consult the final quarter of 2014.
