Providenciales, 08 Jan 2015 – According to the Cabinet report from Chairman, Governor Peter Beckingham, the country is another step closer to having containers which are imported to the country scanned at ports of entry. During Thursday’s Cabinet meeting containerised scanning at seaports was again supported.
The ball is back in the court of the Ports Authority now which has to prepare a technical specification; this will allow government to put the provision of the scanner out to tender.
