Providenciales, 15 Dec 2014 – From the region… violent protests about a delayed vote in Haiti has forced the resignation of that county’s Prime Minister, Laurent Lamonthe but no date was given on when he and his entire government will demit office. It was said President of Haiti, Michel Martelly accepted that resignation.

In The Bahamas a better job offer was cited as the reason, Ryan Pinder left his cabinet job as the Minister of Financial Services just weeks before the implementation of VAT. Pinder’s resignation was accepted by PM Perry Christie.
