Providenciales, 24 Dec 2014 – Tomorrow is Christmas Day; the day after well it will be the Maskanoo Boxing Day festivity on Grace Bay strip. This year Maksanoo starts at 6:30am with a walk and fun run from Graceway Gourmet… later, explained Culture Director David Bowen the list of entertainers is extensive including a new set of Maskanooers out of the south of the island. “Well as you know, Maskanoo is not just a parade it’s a concert. This year we have the Methodist Church Steel Pan Band, we have Carl Lewis, Kew Band Links, Keno & Kaz – Elroy & Dez, we have the Breezy Beach Dancers and we have the Ooh La La Dancers and a special surprise guest from New York doing some interesting stuff.
For the second time, we have a Haitian group doing the Ra-Ra music and it’s very similar to our Maskanoo or Junkanoo we have the Filipino Group as usual and we have the Five Cays Youth Maskanoo Junkaoo group and of course Kitch Penn and We Funk leading the whole thing.”
