Tourism in focus late today as media is called to the Office of the Premier to hear from Hon Rufus Ewing, Tourism Minister and others as the National Tourism Strategy is rolled out… and then onto Beaches Resort Villages and Spa where their Mega Fam will welcome in a new group of travel agents; hundreds of them from North America.

In all Beaches will have 5,000 travel agents at its Family All inclusive here in the TCI… this is both reward and incentive for the property as it continues to promote tourism. During Budget presentation the nation was told of the $500 thousand dollar investment the TCI Ministry of Tourism would make; Finance Minister Washington Misick saying, “The new budget provides for increases in marketing by 30%. An additional $500,000 has been allocated to market the destination.” At the time, it was said tourism had grown over the previous year in the TCI by 41%. KPMG has been announced as the government’s partner in formulating this national tourism strategy.
