Nineteen events announced for National Youth Week next week… and just about all of the islands have a slew of exciting activities. Some of our favourites at MM… paint your classroom day on Wednesday in Grand Turk; students to get involved in beautifying their homerooms… also that day, GT youth will participate in a history scavenger hunt… there will be a movie night next Wednesday in South Caicos and on Saturday next week, softball and basketball matches all day at the Regatta Village in South… Primary Schoolers in North Caicos will face off in a speech competition on Tuesday where there will be nine competitors vying for first, second and third place prizes and trophies.
Deep dialogue being encouraged in Provo as the Youth will have two opportunities… one to speak to government departments on how to get more involved… and another where their ideas on bridging the generational gap will be facilitated, both events are set for the Gus Lightbourne Gym – one on Monday, the other on Tuesday and the schools are invited.
The week opens with church services for the islands and the grand finale is the staging of the first Miss Teen TCI which is set for the Williams Auditorium on Saturday.
