Old wounds opening for the family and friends of slain teenager, Leslie Aurelus as a retrial started last week into the 2008 murder case after a successful appeal to the courts.
The court finding that the case was probably dealt with unfairly since the trial was suppose to take place before a 12 member jury but instead took place before a 7 member panel on Grand Turk and a new verdict is expected this week, Clifford Gibson may either walk a free man or start a new sentence.
Three years ago an emotional case came to an end when a guilty verdict was handed down to 20-year old Clifford Gibson for the murder of then 17 year old Leslie Aurelus, who was fatally stabbed in the Downtown area of Providenciales on new years morning.
