TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS, NOVEMBER 28, 2013- While it is revealed in the TCI’s progress report to the UK Overseas Territories that the Ministry of Health & Human Services has taken steps to address current gaps in the Interhealth Regulation & Compliance … Residents on the islands are calling on the government to put a system in place where everyone has access to health care facilities. Residents have spoken out to local media about the what they call the poor services given by the Interhealth hospitals on both islands. Concerns are also being raised about the high levels of unemployment and the requirements of the health care system where a form of employment is needed in some way in order to make contributions to the NHIP.
