The National Health Insurance Plan (NHIP) and the National Insurance Board (NIB) will soon be seen as one entity, at least when it comes to collections.
The government at last week’s Cabinet sitting accepted the recommendation from the Minister of Health and Human Services, the Hon. Porsha Stubbs-Smith to merge the compliance and collections of NHIP and NIB.
The process is expected to increase compliance and produce efficiency in the collection of outstanding funds.
