Donation efforts continue to stream in for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan which recently devastated sections of the Philipines.

The Red Cross is now pooling funds for the cause where donations can be made at First Caribbean, Account number 1660958 and checks can be dropped off at the TCI Red Cross Headquarters on Leeward Highway.

The Red Cross has also announced that it will be opening its Restoring Family Links Programme so anyone wanting to contact loved ones can call 232-2167 to make their request. You can also help at your fingertips, Digicel customers can text the word HEART to 5151 to donate $1 towards the relief efforts.

Magnetic Media can also confirm that a Turks and Caicos Islander who was in the Philippines when the typhoon hit is okay; Holbert Handfield has phoned family to confirm that he is doing fine and not in the part of the country severely damaged by the winds and surges of Haiyan.
