TRINIDAD & TOBAGO, NOVEMBER 28, 2013- Diplomatic doors have been shut on the Dominican Republic…According to a Caribbean news source, CARICOM has reportedly suspended the DR’s application to CARICOM in light of human rights concerns. Since the recent decision of Dominican courts to cancel the citizenships of generations of those born to Haitian migrants there have been reports of violent break-outs and scrutiny from many quarters on that ruling. CARICOM met Tuesday about the matter; chairing the meeting was Hon Ralph Gonsalves, PM of St Vincent and the Grenadines.
