An offender could get 14 years in jail for handling stolen goods.

The police force is prepared to press charges which could land an offender in jail for as many as 14 years for handling stolen goods.

The Royal Turks and Caicos Police asking the public to be cautious of the goods you buy by avoiding purchases from unlicensed individuals.

The warning comes on the heels of the recent influx of burglaries and police is asking everyone to be on the look-out for anyone suspiciously selling jewellery, laptops, flat screen TVs and smartphones.
