Both the premier Hon Dr Rufus Ewing and Opposition Leader, Hon Sharlene Robinson will be present at the swearing in ceremony of the new governor, Peter Beckingham.

There had been talk that the event would be boycotted by politicians; these responses to News Break put to rest that there would be an empty house of assembly during this inaugural ceremony for Beckingham.

The New Governor arrived in TCI yesterday with his wife Jill Beckingham.

Magnetic Media cameras will be rolling when Chief Justice of the islands, Edwin Goldsborough performs the actual oath of office. The swearing in ceremony of the new governor will get on its way this morning at 10, at the House of Assembly in Grand Turk.
