October marks the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the Turks and Caicos Islands and the National Cancer Society has a series of events line up for every Saturday throughout the month.
On October 5th there’s a walkathon on Providenciales; then the following Saturday will be the much anticipated ‘in the pink’ fundraiser on the 12th; South, North and Middle Caicos will also join in the month’s happenings on the 19th with their walkathon.
The month’s activities end on the October 26th with a luncheon at Beaches in Providenciales.
