AN UNEXPECTED CHANGE OF PLANS FOR THE HOUSE

TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS, OCTOBER 4, 2013- The House of Assembly meeting which was scheduled for two-days was swayed in another direction yesterday as the Premier called an adjournment of the meeting to convene privately with members of the Opposition and his government to address concerns regarding the Attorney General Huw Shepheard and other national issues. The Opposition was informed of the Premier’s intentions and agreed to the meeting. In a release to the media, the PDM Party expressed that they were pleased that the Government is prepared to move forward on the Motion passed on May 15th, 2013 which was moved by the Hon Goldray Ewing calling for a National Symposium to discuss major issues of national concerns and to agree a way forward.
