The day is an effort to heighten awareness of the significance of statistics to the development of a society.
This year is also celebrated as International Year of Statistics which is endorsed by UN and CARICOM. The Turks and Caicos’ last population statistics was in 2012, which to date has not fully disclosed its findings.
