Turks & Caicos wins big at World Travel Awards

Turks and Caicos copped four wins at the World Travel Awards.

Dubbed the ‘Oscars of the travel industry’ the World Travel Awards took place last weekend in Antigua and Barbuda where businesses across all sectors of the Tourism industry in the Caribbean and North America were recognized for their excellence.

The Grace Bay Beach which was recently voted third best beach in the world by CNN Travel, by no surprise won Leading Beach Destination in the region. Amanyara was voted the Caribbean’s leading Villa; The Regent Palms walked away with Leading Spa in the TCI and Leading Spa in the Caribbean and Beaches Turks and Caicos is again the proud winner of the Caribbean’s Leading All Inclusive Family Resort.

Premier and Minister of Tourism, Dr. Rufus Ewing, in a statement released yesterday, congratulated all the nominees from the Turks and Caicos and said that this win for the Grace Bay Beach further solidifies it as the number one in the region.

Other winners were Jamaica who got the award for Leading Caribbean destination and the Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort & Offshore Island in the Bahamas for the Caribbean’s Leading Resort.
