TCI WELCOMES TRAINING FROM US COAST GUARD
TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS, September 24, 2013- The US Coast guard gears up to train the Turks and Caicos…The Marine Unit of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force and government immigration officials can expect a boost in their skills as the US Coast guard prepares to offer training activities relevant to the field. The US Coast Guard Cutter Margaret Norvell was welcomed to the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) by Acting Governor, the Hon Anya Williams on Sunday, 22 September 2013. In addition to a grand tour of the Miami based vessel and its capabilities, trainees can expect training in Search and Navigation exercises, Search and Rescue exercises and boarding exercises among others.
