A team from the opposition led by the leader Honourable Sharlene Robinson met earlier this week with Digicel bosses.
According to a release to the media the opposition lauded the company’s strong sense of responsibility to social needs. The matter of expatriate employees and placement for local staff was also mentioned by the team, to which Digicel shared its commitment is to train local staff and localize its managers.
The Opposition reportedly welcomed this commitment and highlighted the importance of strong ties and frequent dialogue between government, opposition and the private sector.
