TCI Police: Murder Investigation Underway

#Providenciales, October 14, 2019 – Turks and Caicos – Officers of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force are currently investigating a Robbery on Sunday, October 13th, 2019 that left one man dead.

911 Central received reports at 2:46 a.m., of shots fired on Church Avenue, Millennium Highway, Providenciales. The 27-year-old man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at Hospital at 3:57 a.m.

Acting Commissioner of Police Mr. Rodney Adams said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the young man who was murdered early this morning. I know that this is a very difficult time for all of you. The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force stand committed to bringing the facts to light and we need the public’s support in assisting us with information. Someone must have seen something. If you do not want to talk to the Police, please call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477. We need to get these thugs off the streets and behind bars. We are currently at Murder 12 and this is beyond unacceptable. These senseless murders must stop and we as a community must not continue to allow a minority to place the majority
in fear.”
