#Bahamas, September 18, 2017 – Nassau – THIS IS A PUBLIC FORECAST FOR TONIGHT AND TOMORROW MONDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER 2017 ISSUED BY THE BAHAMAS DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY AT 6PM

GENERAL SITUATION:  THE COMBINATION OF A WEAK PRESSURE PATTERN AND A TRAILING TROUGH EXTENDING FROM HURRICANE JOSE CONTINUES TO INFLUENCE THE WEATHER ACROSS THE BAHAMAS.

SPECIAL WARNINGS: BOATERS SHOULD CONTINUE TO BE ALERT FOR THE POTENTIAL OF WATERSPOUTS AND MODERATE TO LARGE SWELLS OVER THE OCEAN. BEACHGOERS SHOULD ALSO REMAIN ALERT FOR THE RISK OF RIP CURRENTS AT BEACHES MAINLY ALONG THE NORTHERN AND EASTERN SHORELINES.

WEATHER:   VARIABLY CLOUDY WITH A FEW ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH TOMORROW.

ADVISORY:  BOATERS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR GUSTY WINDS AND HIGHER SEAS IN OR NEAR HEAVY SHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS.
