BAHAMAS MARINE FORECAST FOR THE BAHAMAS FOR 24 HOURS FROM 12AM MONDAY 10TH AUGUST 2015 ISSUED BY THE BAHAMAS DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY AT 0400 UTC.

GENERAL SITUATION: COMBINATION OF A FRONTAL BOUNDARY NORTH OF THE BAHAMAS AND AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH IN THE VICINITY OF THE SOUTHEAST BAHAMAS AND TURKS AND CAICOS WILL TRIGGER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACTIVITY ACROSS THE ISLANDS TODAY.

NORTHWEST AND CENTRAL BAHAMAS
ADVISORY: BOATERS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR GUSTY WINDS AND HIGHER SEAS IN OR NEAR SHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS.
WINDS: VARIABLE AT 10 KNOTS OR LESS OVER OPEN WATERS.
SEAS: LESS THAN 3 FEET OVER THE OCEAN.
WEATHER: ISOLATED SHOWERS AND POSSIBLE THUNDERSTORMS.

SOUTHEAST BAHAMAS
ADVISORY: SMALL CRAFT SHOULD BE ALERT FOR GUSTY WINDS AND HIGHER SEAS IN OR NEAR SHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS.
WINDS: EAST TO SOUTHEAST AT 10 TO 15 KNOTS FALLING LIGHT AND VARIABLE AT TIMES OVER OPEN WATERS.
SEAS: 2 TO 4 FEET OVER THE OCEAN.
WEATHER: WIDELY SCATTERED SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.
