Providenciales, 08 Jul 2015 – More training to come as seven government and quasi government entities are called in for a session on Host Incident Command System Training. In more laymen’s terms the groups of men and women will be exposed to what Director of the DDME, Dr. Virginia Clerveaux calls a new wave of understanding how to best cope with emergencies as first responders.
When this training, which runs over three days and is set for a tomorrow start at the Felix Morely Community Center in Five Cays, is all done the responders will be improved when it comes to dealing with structural and commercial fires, cruise ship, aircraft and vehicular transportation accidents, search missions and rescue operations, oil spills and HAZMAT incidents, mass events such as celebrations, parades, concerts and public rallies, mass shelter operations and even visits by famous dignitaries.
It is double duty for CDEMA facilitators, General Earl Arthurs and Joanne Parsed who today wrapped up Disaster Recovery training, which was being held at the Sands Resort.
This second workshop opens tomorrow morning.
